RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests focus on the development of skills that set us apart from the machine: learner agency, creativity, innovation, self-regulation, empathy, ethics, meta-cognition, emotional intelligence, collaboration, problem solving, cultural literacy, systems thinking, etc. As more and more of our daily work, school, and social life is mediated through technology, it is imperative that the design of learning fosters these important skills.
