LaMonica C. Williams is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education at Purdue University. Over the past 4 years, she has gained significant leadership experience in higher education. In her current roles at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, she holds both faculty and administrative positions.
Dr. Williams administrative position is Admissions Coordinator with the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Master of Education and Building Level Leadership Principal licensure programs. As Admissions Coordinator, her primary responsibilities include screening prospective applicants and making recommendations for admission, general advising of new students and prospective students, new student orientation, and working closely with college personnel, including faculty, financial assistance, and student affairs to ably communicate ELPS admission requirements and other essential information to interested parties.
Other administrative positions held in the Purdue system include Assistant Department Head in the Educational Studies Department within the College of Education.
Dr. Williams industry experience includes being a career educator with 27 years of classroom, school leadership, educational management, and professional development experience in K-12 environments. During her ladder years, she served on school improvement advisory committees for a host of schools and utilized her talent and experience as a Leadership Development coach for new or struggling principals towards their professional growth and development. She earned a BS in Elementary Education, a MEd in Instructional Leadership, and a EdD in Urban Education Leadership. As a scholar Dr. Williams has pending works in some of the top journals in her field in the area of educational leadership.
